Hey everyone, it is me, Lisa, and welcome back to another episode of The Other 99%. For those of you who are listening in real time, this episode is being launched on December 31st, and we are closing the end of 2024. And I thought of such a cool way to share everything that has happened in the podcast over 2024.

“My favorite quote—and I actually use this as my team quote—is, ‘Individually, we are one drop; together, we are an ocean.’ That means so much to me because I love the ocean. If you know me, you know that I am all about the beach. Individually, we can do so little. But when we combine with others—our teammates, uplines, downlines, and community—we can do amazing things. It also makes the journey so much more fun.”

“I would say, think about doing things today that will give you more time tomorrow. This concept might come from Rory Vaden in one of his books, but it’s so true. Building your business with intentionality is about creating systems and tools now to free up time in the future. For example, writing an email sequence once can serve you repeatedly every time someone subscribes to your list. Focus on creating assets that will continue to provide value over time.”

“My first thought is: The only way to quit is if you quit on yourself. When I was stuck in a rut, I held onto this idea—just don’t quit. Stay in your lane, keep your head down, and focus on your end goal.”

“I always tell my son—and this applies to life and business—never accept the first offer. It’s about negotiating and finding value, whether in direct sales or beyond. But when it comes to business, remember: Everyone can dream, but not everyone will do. Be a doer.”

“I would say, don’t join direct sales just to make a lot of money. You need to love the product you’re selling and believe in it. Be a product of the product—you should use it consistently so you can genuinely share it with others.”

“One of the most important things I’ve learned is to focus on selling you. Create your presence. Who are you? Let people see the real you. When you focus on authenticity, your business grows in a way that feels natural and valuable—not forced or cookie-cutter.”

“My favorite reminder is, ‘Random acts get random results. Be intentional.’ Whether you’re working part-time, as a hobby, or full-time, intentionality is key to making the most of your efforts. Another tip I love is, ‘What gets scheduled gets done.’ If it’s important, put it on the calendar.”

“Get comfortable being uncomfortable. This year has been all about stepping out of my comfort zone, and it’s propelled me personally and professionally in ways I never thought possible. Trust the process—it’s worth it.”

“I remember a quote from a leadership conference: ‘Whatever you have done is nothing compared to what you can do.’ This reminds me that only you can hold yourself back. Keep pushing forward, even when things get tough.”

“One of my favorite quotes is, ‘The secret to success is the consistency of purpose.’ Whether it’s for health, business, or personal goals, this idea resonates deeply. Success comes when you intentionally work toward your purpose every day.”

“Action creates motivation. So many of us wait to feel motivated before taking action, but it’s actually the opposite. Taking action, even small steps, creates the momentum that leads to motivation and progress.”

“Everything is figure-outable. No matter the challenge, there’s always a way to learn, adapt, and overcome. Whether through Google, YouTube, or reaching out to mentors, you can figure out what you need to succeed.”

“Old keys don’t open new doors. If something isn’t working, it’s time to try a new approach. Be willing to adapt and shift with the times to keep moving forward.”

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect—just take that first step. Progress comes from action, not from waiting for the perfect moment.”
