10 Things You Might Not Know About Lisa Duck

Let’s Have Some Fun 🎉

I spend a lot of time talking about food, quick dinners, and digital tools that make business easier—but I realized recently that I don’t often talk about me. So today, we’re flipping the script!

Here are 10 things you might not know about me, even if we’ve been connected for a while. Some of them might surprise you… others will probably make you laugh. Either way, I’d love to know which one stood out most to you!

1. I’m an Introvert Who Loves People… but Hates Socializing

I know—it’s a weird combo. I truly love connecting with people, but group events? Crowds? Small talk? I’d rather be home in comfy clothes with a good podcast or my laptop.

2. I Have Two Amazing Sons (And I Still Can’t Believe How Grown They Are!)

They’re 19 and 21 now, which blows my mind because I swear I just blinked and they grew up. Being their mom is the greatest gift—and yes, they still eat like teenage boys.

3. I Used to Be a Wedding Makeup Artist 💄

For a short time, I did makeup for weddings—and I loved it! There’s something special about helping someone feel beautiful on their big day (even if it came with a few pre-ceremony freakouts).

4. I’ve Been in Direct Sales for Over 20 Years

Yep, this is not my first rodeo! I’ve learned a lot along the way—from juggling babies and business, to finding a company and mission that truly align with my life (hello, Epicure 💚).

5. I Grew Up Being Called Lee, Lou or Lou Lou Bell—But Never Lisa! 😂

Nicknames were the norm in my house, and somehow I became Lee or Lou, and my dad always called me Lou Lou Bell. Never Lisa. Once, someone tried calling me Liz (short for Elizabeth), and I just couldn’t let that fly. Lisa may not have been what people called me growing up, but I own it now!

6. I’m Allergic to Bananas and Shellfish 😬

Seriously, who is allergic to bananas?! Apparently, I am. No shrimp, no smoothies with banana… but I can still enjoy chocolate, so there’s that.

7. I Host a Podcast Called The Other 99% 🎙️

If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s all about celebrating the everyday direct seller—the ones working hard, building strong businesses, and making an impact without necessarily hitting the “top 1%” spotlight.

8. I Am Not a Morning Person (At All)

Let’s just say… if we’re meeting before 9 a.m., I’ll need a strong coffee and zero small talk. Not sorry.

9. My Office Is My Happy Place

It’s my little creative sanctuary—where I brainstorm, record, write, and dream big. Bonus points if there’s a hot cup of coffee and a fresh to-do list in front of me!

10. I’m Self-Taught When It Comes to Tech—and I Love Helping Others

Everything I know about websites, automations, and digital marketing? I taught myself or learned from YouTube! Now, I help other direct sellers simplify their systems and ditch the tech overwhelm. My dream? Building a whole empire of digital courses that help other direct sellers succeed.

Now that you know a little more about me… I’d love to know something fun about you!

  1. Three of my 5 can’t tolerate bananas. I can only handle organic, half at a time, only in smoothies. I didn’t like them growing up so didn’t eat them. It was only when my kids couldn’t eat them that I felt validated!

My youngest is really the only one who eats them, so we rarely have them in the house. That’s probably why it took me so long to realize I was sensitive to them.
